I have read through the book of Psalms many times in my life as a Christian. But this time, through this challenge, and through the Bible scavenger hunt of looking for the praises, promises, and provisions, my eyes were opened to things I had never seen before. My ears were listening to every word as I read the scripture out loud. My soul was opened to praising my God even more. My understanding found promises that had been claimed by the psalmist, that I could also claim as mine. My heart grew in gratitude as I realized that those things which God had provided for the psalmist, He would also provide for me. My hands clapped with excitement and my feet danced with joy at the precious treasures I had uncovered in the pages of the book of Psalms.
In the following pages of this book, I would like to share with you some of the praises, promises and provisions that we find as treasures in the book of Psalms. May your heart be blessed as you read my stories and share in the lessons learned.
